As Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Sample Control team, which is responsible for shepherding client samples from arrival to disposal.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
– A high school diploma or GED (required); an associate degree in Chemistry or related field (preferred)
– Previous experience in a chemistry laboratory setting (preferred)
– Basic math skills
– Good attitude and willingness to work with others
– Good communication and organization skills
– Ability to follow written directions
– Ability to regularly lift 40lbs and stand for periods of up to 8 hours
Laboratory Technician duties include: ensuring samples are received, prepared, preserved, and stored appropriately according to internal SOPs and approved EPA handling methods; documenting and communicating receiving issues with Project Managers; preparing and shipping bottle orders and sampling kits for clients; calibration of equipment; lab maintenance and cleaning; preparation of laboratory reagents and solutions; and other duties as assigned.
The pay rate for this position is $21.00 – $23.00 hourly. Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year. The shift for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am – 5:30pm.
