We are looking for a Senior Director of Sales and Marketing to accelerate our growth journey. This is a great opportunity to take your career to the next level by working directly with the Senior Vice President & General Manager of Brooks Automation’s Emerging Automation Solution (EAS) entity. This will be a Hybrid role based out of Livermore, CA, and will be leading sales teams worldwide. What you will do: Management and coordination of sales and marketing activities. Build a strong sales organization focusing on value-based selling. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue growth targets. Build and lead high-performing sales teams, including hiring and training sales professionals. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, including negotiating contracts and resolving customer issues. Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust sales strategies as needed. Lead, coach, mentor and advise the sales organization, including skills development, sales processes, and workflows. Develop strategies and techniques necessary for attaining bookings and revenue targets, building a strong sales funnel. Develop and grow relationships with our current customer base. Map potential customers and generate leads as well as create new opportunities. Maintain and ensure adherence and commitment to a rigorous sales process. Provide market feedback influencing product strategy and positioning. Perform regular individual meetings with the sales team, as well as a process to monitor the team and channel. Develop and recommend product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. Monitor competitor’s products, strengths and weaknesses, sales, and marketing activities. Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Meet regularly with strategic clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Review and analyze sales and marketing performances against programs, quotas and plans to determine effectiveness. Travel up to 50% to Brooks and Customer sites located in the US, Europe, Australia, and Asia. What you will bring: 20 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, with 10 in a leadership role in automation, robotics, or industrial controls with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building high-performing sales teams. Experience in developing and executing sales strategies in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales performance metrics and adjust sales strategies as needed. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve results. Proficient in sales forecasting, budgeting, and P&L management. Experience in negotiating contracts and resolving customer issues. Great leadership skills to mentor and understand how to build leaders. Established network in Lab and Industrial Automation sectors. Bachelors in engineering with an MBA or Equivalent. Solid commercial experience with technology-driven products. Experience with international industrial b-2-b sales via direct, OEMs and through dealers. Solid management experience as well as experience in change management in an international context, including Europe and Asia. Technical capital goods / project sales.
