The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for Section Leader, Shipping located at our Enfield, CT Distribution Center. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 11am - 7:30pm. 

Responsibilities

• Support the manager in achieving the goals for the department.
• Run the day-to-day functions of an area within the department while encouraging the team to perform as accurately and efficient as possible.
• Train and motivate assigned staff members.
• Implement established procedures.
• Coordinate and supervise staff members.

• Order supplies as needed for the department.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations.
• Work with the manager and other departments to ensure adequate staffing is maintained to meet the demands of the department.
• Work with the manager to plan and organize work for the department.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
• Create a workplace that fosters credibility, respect, fairness, camaraderie and pride to retain talent and drive for business results.

Qualifications

• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collect data, maintain records and prepare reports.
• Knowledge of excel workbook.
• PC experience.
• Knowledge of crystal report.
• Knowledge of RF applications.
• Ability to lift 30lbs
• Demonstrates an everyday commitment to ensure goals are met.
• Leads by example, influences others, supports management team and takes accountability for own actions.

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
