The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for Section Leader, Shipping located at our Enfield, CT Distribution Center. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 11am - 7:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Support the manager in achieving the goals for the department.
- Run the day-to-day functions of an area within the department while encouraging the team to perform as accurately and efficient as possible.
- Train and motivate assigned staff members.
- Implement established procedures.
- Coordinate and supervise staff members.
- Order supplies as needed for the department.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Work with the manager and other departments to ensure adequate staffing is maintained to meet the demands of the department.
- Work with the manager to plan and organize work for the department.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
- Create a workplace that fosters credibility, respect, fairness, camaraderie and pride to retain talent and drive for business results.
Qualifications
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collect data, maintain records and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of excel workbook.
- PC experience.
- Knowledge of crystal report.
- Knowledge of RF applications.
- Ability to lift 30lbs
- Demonstrates an everyday commitment to ensure goals are met.
- Leads by example, influences others, supports management team and takes accountability for own actions.
