Description
We are seeking an Sr Service Technician with Chiller Experience who is a collaborative team member with a friendly work style to work in the Jacksonville, Florida area. The position requires a creative problem solver who can utilize their knowledge of HVAC systems to solve technical problems and troubleshoot to successfully complete projects. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who will ensure the highest standards of accuracy, excellence, and quality of work while producing results quickly and communicate effectively.
Outcomes:
- Successfully maintain project schedules, labor, materials, and equipment.
- Survey, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and Chiller systems, circuits, and equipment.
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation guides to complete repairs/installation requirements.
- Install, maintain, and make repairs to all electrical distribution systems and associated HVAC/Chiller equipment.
- Inspect and test components of HVAC/Chiller systems to include electrical systems such as transformers, transfer switches, gensets, and switch gear/panelboards.
- Give preventive maintenance inspections performed to representative/owner and suggest corrective actions to be applied
- Explain technical information to clients in a way they will understand in order to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Fill out start-up documentation, commissioning, invoices and other documents as required for project.
- Provide input to sales staff as requested or required to assist in the accurate estimation, design, installation, start-up and commissioning.
Serve as a company representative to other contractors, owners, and trades
Qualifications
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED.
- Five years of experience in HVAC and Chiller equipment, troubleshooting and repair. Daikin Equipment Certified a plus
- Active journey-level maintaining, repairing, and operating HVAC equipment in addition to experience maintaining, operating, and repairing air conditioning and ventilating equipment.
- Any factory authorized training or trained by major manufacturer-not required, but preferred.
- Other technical experience such as military, on-the-job training programs, etc. may meet these requirement as determined by management.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code, NFPA 70e, EM 38, and International Mechanical/HVAC Code
- Knowledge of Fluke, Dent Logging tools for commissioning.
- Understanding of Word and Excel needed.
