Join a friendly and collaborative team, working alongside multiple employees to provide superior patient care in a physician practice. Brooks Physician Practice is a multi discipline outpatient facility.
Responsibilities :
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Greet vendors and accept deliveries.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Collects and posts charges and payments according to protocols, prepares and balances daily financial registers.
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Verifying patient insurance eligibility.
- Submit outgoing referrals/orders submitted by physicians.
- Monitor and triage incoming faxes
- Be prompt, reliable, and dependable
- Excellent Customer Service
- Able to be flexible and adaptable
- Have proper phone etiquette.
- Able to multitask within the office.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- EMR experience
- Customer service experience
- Insurance knowledge
- Previous physician office experience is preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge preferred
Location: Brooks Physician Practice at 3901 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
