We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EMR Application Analyst to join our IT team in the healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of healthcare information systems. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare processes, strong technical skills, regulatory requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders across the health system to improve system efficiency and patient care.
Responsibilities :
- EMR System design and implementation by leading the 3rd party vendors, clinical workgroups through application development, interoperability, and deployment of healthcare systems.
- Application analyst that performs technical and functional software system configuration, build, device mapping, and integration that supports a variety of 3rd party and EMR enterprise systems.
- Evaluates technology specifications and EMR platforms, software and system integration for reliability and feasibility with our existing healthcare IT infrastructure.
- Execute regular system maintenance, upgrades, patching, and emergent changes by ensuring optimal technical performance and support for healthcare applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve EMR application issues in a timely manner to ensure system stability.
- Leverages technology to facilitate a business strategy to improve clinical workflow and system performance.
- Plans, documents, and executes EMR features and functionality as per vendor requirements.
- Implement and monitor data management, oversee data integrity and security measures to protect patient data within healthcare systems.
- Ensure all systems comply with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Develop and implement data management protocols and procedures.
- Coordinates priorities and leads system issues, regulatory requirements, enterprises projects, upgrades between Brooks and software vendors.
- Stakeholder collaboration when working closely with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Demonstrates an ability to establish and build strong relationships with vendors, IT team members to include Physicians, Nurses, Clinicians, and business / operational staff.
- Collaborate with IT and operational clinical teams to enhance and optimize system functionality for an improved user experience.
- Strong project management skills to lead and manage IT projects related to healthcare innovation, system expansion, and growth.
- Develop project tasks, deliverables, timelines, and communication plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Applies project management methodology standards to communicate with stakeholders, internal and external customers and successfully accomplish assigned projects.
- Coordinates and leads testing phases and events of EMR functionality, upgrades, and software changes.
- Supports existing and new EMR features with testing, training, conversion planning, and go-live support.
- Develop a communication and training plan for our end users, internal and external customers on EMR functionality.
- Document and provide system communication to the business / operations and clinical end user of the effect new releases, EMR upgrades, software packages and changes prior to implementation.
- Provide 24 / 7 on-call support when scheduled.
