Job Overview:
As a Lead Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization while supervising the housekeeping staff. You will be responsible for ensuring high cleaning standards, managing housekeeping supplies, training new team members, and assisting with daily cleaning tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team.
- Assign daily cleaning tasks and inspect rooms and common areas to ensure top-quality cleanliness.
- Train and mentor new housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and cleaning standards.
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping inventory, requesting supplies as needed.
- Assist in creating work schedules and ensuring adequate shift coverage.
- Communicate with management regarding maintenance issues, guest concerns, and housekeeping performance.
- Perform cleaning duties when necessary to support the team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience required (2 years preferred).
- Prior supervisory experience in housekeeping or a similar role is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
