Position: Grade 2 Classroom Teacher - Long Term Substitute
Location:Brookside Elementary School
Schedule: April 28, 2025 - June 17, 2025 (Approximately 7-weeks) 30-hours/week
Salary:TBD
To Start:April 28, 2025
Qualifications:
●Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Teacher License – License - certified regular education
teacher Pre-K-2
●Working knowledge of the Massachusetts Common Core Standards.
●Excellent organizational and communication skills.
●Excellent computer/technology skills with the ability to integrate technology in lessons.
●Excellent classroom management skills and experience with behavior management plans.
●Ability to differentiate instruction across all curriculum areas for all learners.
●Ability to use assessments and data to inform instruction.
●Ability to utilize various computer software programs – student database (x-2)
●Ability to create innovative lessons using interactive technology.
●Ability to collaborate with colleagues and ability to function as part of a team.
●Experience and/or knowledge working in a Co-Teaching Model.
●Experience working with English Learners and students with special needs preferred.
●Experience working with elementary school aged children required.
●Willingness to collaborate with colleagues as a team approach and participate in school events.
●Knowledge of and experience with comprehensive literacy and math programs (Illustrative Math and ST math) which provide
appropriate differentiated instruction for all learners.
●Knowledge or experience with Responsive Classroom Philosophy..
