Nurse Manager - Wound Care & Restorative Nursing (CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO)
Brookside Inn Skilled Nursing Facility; a family-owned long-term care and short-term facility, is looking for a full-time Nurse Manager to join our team of highly qualified individuals.
The Nurse Manager - Wound Care & Restorative Nursing is a key leadership position responsible for the oversight and management of the facility's wound care and restorative nursing programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to residents, promoting healing, functional independence, and overall well-being. The Nurse Manager will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, provide staff education, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Rate of Pay
$95,000-100,000 annually depending on experience

Responsibilities
Wound Care Management:
Develop, implement, and evaluate wound care protocols and procedures.
Conduct comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct wound care and treatments as needed.
Monitor wound healing progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Ensure proper documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
Maintain an inventory of wound care supplies and equipment.
Serve as a resource for staff on wound care best practices.
Restorative Nursing Program Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee the restorative nursing program to promote resident independence and function.
Conduct resident assessments to identify restorative needs and develop individualized care plans.
Collaborate with therapists (physical, occupational, speech) to integrate restorative interventions.
Train and supervise staff in restorative nursing techniques, including range of motion exercises, ambulation, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
Monitor and document resident progress in the restorative program.
Ensure the restorative nursing program aligns with resident goals and preferences.
Leadership and Supervision:
Supervise and mentor nursing staff in collaboration with the director of nursing.
Serve as the nurse manager for a long-term care hallway of 28 residents.
Provide oversite and provide
Develop and implement staff education and training programs related to wound care and restorative nursing.
Schedule and coordinate staff assignments to ensure adequate coverage.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Participate in the hiring and on boarding of new nursing staff.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to wound care and restorative nursing.
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews of wound care and restorative nursing practices.
Implement corrective actions to address identified deficiencies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records.
Participate in facility quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain current knowledge of best practices and current regulations.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive resident care.
Participate in care planning meetings and resident conferences.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Act as a resident advocate.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in long-term care, with specific experience in wound care and restorative nursing.
Certified Wound Specialist (CWS), Wound Care Certified (WCC), or related certification preferred.
Knowledge of current wound care and restorative nursing best practices.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.
