Duties
- Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Facilitate group activities such as arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social events.
- Assist residents in participating in activities while providing encouragement and support.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and social workers to ensure that activities meet the physical and emotional needs of residents.
- Document participation levels and feedback from residents to improve future programming.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment during activities, ensuring all equipment is properly utilized.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote upcoming events and gather input on activity preferences.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with seniors, families, and team members.
