Pay 40 / hr with an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic license (A&P)
35 / hr without an A&P license
Overview :
Brooksource is seeking structures mechanics to support the VC-25B Program in San Antonio, TX. This exciting and challenging opportunity provides mechanics to make aviation history.
These candidates must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal / structural modifications and repair, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
Required Experience :
- 4 years' experience working with non-porous metals of an aircraft, such as aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
- 4 years' working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
- 4 years' experience using structures hand tools such as : drills 45 and 90 degrees, pancake adapters, counter sink cages, hole finders, and rivet guns.
- 4 years' experience working heavy structures : locating, drilling, countersinking and fastening sheet metal
- 4 experience on close tolerance drilling, reaming, removal, and installation to critical support structures including doublers, triplers, seat tracks, planks, stringers, etc.
This position will require the ability to obtain government approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of any other country may preclude ability to obtain access. A 3rd party background check relating to personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior will be conducted.
