Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst with a deep understanding of cystic fibrosis therapies and experience in analyzing market data to work with our specialty pharmacy client. This role will be integral in supporting the successful launch of a new cystic fibrosis drug, which will affect up to 5,000 new patients starting April 1st. Given the nuanced nature of cystic fibrosis drug administration and the evolving landscape of formulary changes, the ideal candidate should bring relevant healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience, with an ability to manage data and deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical practices, legal, compliance, and market access, to gather and clearly document business and technical requirements.
- Process Mapping & Optimization: Develop and refine process maps that streamline the operational workflow related to the launch and distribution of the new drug. Ensure processes align with clinical practices and compliance guidelines for cystic fibrosis therapies.
- Metric Identification & Tracking: Define, identify, and track key performance metrics to assess the success of the new drug launch. Monitor metrics related to patient transitions, formulary adjustments, and market adoption rates.
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Conduct advanced data analysis using Excel, Tableau, and Ops Intelligence to uncover insights and present findings in a visually compelling manner. Focus on data related to formulary changes (affecting 300-5,000 new patients) and payer decisions impacting cystic fibrosis therapies.
- Project Management: Oversee analytical projects tied to the ongoing administration of the drug, managing timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications. Ensure project outcomes support business objectives and comply with legal and regulatory standards.
- Compliance & Legal Guidelines: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including those specific to cystic fibrosis, and facilitate legal analysis for market changes such as payer decisions to switch between branded drugs and biosimilars or generics.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or in a similar role within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries. Experience with cystic fibrosis therapies is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Excel, Tableau, and familiarity with Ops Intelligence (or similar tools). Ability to create dynamic reports, dashboards, and models.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of clinical practices and legal compliance specific to cystic fibrosis therapies, including the nuances of drug administration.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy and precision in data analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry Knowledge: Previous experience interacting with market data and analytics related to healthcare treatments or pharmaceutical products.
- Compliance Focus: Familiarity with the legal and regulatory frameworks governing pharmaceutical product launches and patient therapies, particularly regarding formulary changes and payer policies.
