Sr Project Manager

As a Project Manager, you will help our Fortune Top 100 telecom client deliver critical IT projects involving hardware, software, and cloud engineering. In this role, you will report directly to the Manager of Program Management and drive projects from definition to implementation. You will oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring timely delivery and presenting status reports to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT projects from initial definition through successful implementation.
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
- Assign Jira tickets to Business Analysts and track progress based on agreed-upon deadlines.
- Collaborate with IT delivery teams to track milestones and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Maintain effective change management processes to handle evolving project needs.
- Foster collaboration and coordination across cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.
- Identify challenges, define alternatives, and make timely decisions to keep projects on track.
- Communicate with business and IT stakeholders to resolve issues and align expectations.
- Prepare project documentation, budgets, and reports to support project tracking and decision-making.
- Provide regular status reports and presentations to executives and key stakeholders.
- Balance multiple priorities and act as an internal advocate to connect projects with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of IT project management experience, managing full project lifecycles.
- Proven experience managing project constraints (scope, time, and cost).
- Expertise in project planning, milestone tracking, and change management.
- Experience managing Jira tickets, specifically assigning tasks to Business Analysts and tracking sprint progress.
- Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile and Scrum) and IT environments such as networks, servers, and application maintenance.
- Experience using PM tools such as MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to produce documentation, status reports, and budgets to executives.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to addressing business needs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively across business and technical teams.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration to effectively manage teams and stakeholder expectations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and anticipate project needs.
