Jr. Data Analyst

12-month Contract-to-Hire
Hybrid (3 Days in the Office)
Pay Rate - $28.00/hr – 32.00/hr (Depending on experience)
As a Jr. Data Analyst, you will be supporting data tracking and maintenance of our client’s various network sites and unified communication equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating inventory data in our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) using ServiceNow.The Data Analyst will play a critical role within this team in maintaining quality assurance within their ticketing system, assisting with inventory tracking, and working with multiple teams across the Network Ops and Engineering space on various project tasks and process improvements. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to grow their career in network technology within the energy and utilities sector.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update inventory data for network equipment including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless devices, and various models of each type of equipment, totaling approximately 5,000 items.
- Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Spot-check the quality of work and process flow to ensure data integrity.
- Review forms for change requests, ensuring all necessary information is collected. This includes verifying ticket requests for changes in the environment, assessing the impact, and ensuring completeness of information.
- Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to maintain quality assurance and address any discrepancies in data or processes.
- Create and maintain documentation, generate reports, and provide technical writing support as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and gain exposure to all facets of network operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data and inventory management, within the energy and utilities sector is a plus
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and CMDB is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
