Brooksource is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to join the Technology Design and Engineering - IT Linux, Unix, Storage & Backup Platforms team at one of our largest Fortune 100 Energy Clients. As a Linux Systems Engineer, you will be an asset in our client’s largest enterprise separation project that focuses on splitting the energy company into two separate enterprises. In order for a successful severance, Linux engineering support is needed to troubleshoot, patch and escalate technical issues from the Tier 1 offshore team. This team supports 800 servers and works in an Azure cloud environment.

Basic Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience installing, configuring, performance tuning, troubleshooting and building Linux (RHEL) servers in an on-prem and cloud environment
- Experience with BASH, Python, Shell or Java scripting to manage existing scripts and create new ones.
- Expertise managing Satellite infrastructure is required.
- Experience managing OS repositories, upgrade and patch life cycle management.
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud to manage, deploy and patch marketplace Linux images.
- AWS Cloud experience is also accepted.
- Knowledge of Ansible is required.
- Experience managing HA solutions using Corosync and Pacemaker clusters is a plus!
- Experience with Unix Solaris is a plus!
- Knowledge of scripting for automation purposes is a plus!
