Job Description: Network Engineer IV
Location: Seattle, WA, US
Duration: 9-month contract (Potential extension based on business need and performance)
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
Pay Rate: 75/hr
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer IV to join our team and help deploy and automate one of the world s largest and most complex networks. As we continue to scale our infrastructure to meet growing customer demand, we need skilled engineers to ensure the highest quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Automation: Design and implement scalable network solutions for AWS, ensuring high availability, performance, and automation of the network infrastructure.
- Network Troubleshooting: Use your strong network analysis skills to troubleshoot complex network issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Infrastructure Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support critical network scaling and decom activities to keep pace with customer demand in the Border Network.
- Technology Leadership: Leverage expertise in IP protocols, routing, and advanced network technologies to deliver impactful solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant networking certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in network engineering or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong fundamentals in IP networking and experience in applying IP protocols.
- Expertise in major routing protocols, specifically BGP and OSPF.
- In-depth experience with Cisco router platforms (37xx, 49xx, 65xx, 73xx, 76xx) including compatible supervisory and line cards.
- Proficiency with technologies and protocols such as DWDM, SONET, IPv4 & IPv6, VPNs, TACACS, BGP, HSRP, GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, DNS, HTTP, and NetFlow.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of projects.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of troubleshooting complex network problems and designing simple, scalable solutions.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Comfort with working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meeting business needs efficiently.
