Network Engineer I
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid)
Type: Full-time
Brooksource is looking for a Network Engineer to join their local client's enterprise networking team. This individual will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the company’s wired and wireless enterprise network as well as various network appliances and servers. Responsibilities:
- Performs installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products including appliances, routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancer and cloud-based systems.
- Responsible for configuring and maintaining DHCP/ DNS services.
- Assist in the development and documentation of defined standards for all installs, upgrades, and maintenance of network products.
- Monitor network connectivity ensuring high quality of network performance
- Implement, operate, and maintain load balancing technologies within the enterprise system across multiple networks.
- Provide technical support to various departments and users with regards to LAN/MAN/WAN connectivity.
- Performs regular testing of multiple wireless networks.
- Assists in the development of Radio Frequency (RF) standards relating to the RF design and operations of the network.
- Maintain documentation of Radio Frequency (RF) plans and design
Technical Requirements:
- Experience in network administration and architecture.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, broadband access, point to point, and routing protocols (BGP. OSPF).
- Experience with access control models and network security.
- Experience working with network operating systems including Juniper and Cisco IOS
- Familiarity with backup and business continuity and disaster recover concepts and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with network specific troubleshooting.
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1 years of enterprise level network engineering experience
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of Azure cloud environment is a plus
- Experience in retail industry is a plus
- CCNA or related certification is a plus

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
