Project Manager (Mid-Senior level)

A 2-year contract with a hybrid schedule that requires driving to sites in the Northern Suburbs.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee large-scale engineering and construction projects for our client, a leading utility company. This role will focus on managing overhead, underground, and civil projects while ensuring successful design, construction, and vendor coordination for infrastructure buildouts and fiber installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering design work in partnership with EOC partners and internal teams.
• Communicate project status regularly to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on progress, challenges, and timelines.
• Manage vendor coordination for fiber buildout and oversee financial aspects of the projects.
• Support infrastructure buildouts, including the installation of fiber and civil works.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Leverage strong business acumen to address challenges, optimize costs, and enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of project management experience in engineering and construction, with a strong focus on utilities and electrical systems.
• Proven construction experience with overhead, underground, and civil projects.
• Background in electrical utilities, with expertise in transmission and distribution systems preferred.
• Telco experience for fiber installation is a strong plus.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments effectively.
