QA Automation Tester
6 month Contract-to-Hire (W2)
Hybrid, 4 days/wk onsite (Alpharetta, GA)
$40-50/hour (D.O.E.)
A SaaS company specializing in cloud-based construction management software is seeking a QA Automation Tester to join the team and ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Perform functional, regression, API, UI, and performance testing.
- Design and implement test frameworks for automation to enhance efficiency.
- Work with development teams to ensure test coverage for new features and bug fixes.
- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Use CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD) to integrate automation tests into pipelines.
- Perform basic SQL queries to validate back-end data.
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Continuously improve test processes and automation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in QA automation testing, hands-on with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium for mobile).
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
- Significant experience with test management tools (TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).
- Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation.
- Experience with version control tools like Git/GitHub/GitLab.
