Hourly Pay Rate: $40/hr
Job Summary:
We are seeking a QA Manual Tester with 3-5 years of experience to join our team and ensure the quality of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing, experience working in Agile environments, and a keen eye for detail to identify and document defects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases based on requirements and specifications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UI testing for web and mobile applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure compatibility.
- Validate API responses using tools like Postman (if applicable).
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
- Work closely with automation engineers to identify areas for automation improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in manual testing for web and/or mobile applications.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
- Experience with test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Proficiency in test management tools (TestRail, qTest, Zephyr, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
- Basic understanding of SQL for database validation.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools like Postman (preferred).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience testing in a CI/CD environment.
- Exposure to basic automation testing concepts (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Knowledge of performance or security testing tools is a plus.
- ISTQB Certification (preferred but not required).
