What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician - Data Center Facilities position at Brooksource?
We are hiring Data Center Infrastructure Techs to join a large-scale initiative with our Fortune Top 10 client as they continue to drastically expand their data center presence in the Northern VA area. To meet the demand required for this exciting growth, they are performing renovations on all their data centers. In this role, you will be upgrading and installing new hot aisle containment (HAC) systems to optimize the effectiveness of their data center cooling strategy. This is a physically demanding role working inside of state-of-the-art Data Center facilities throughout the Northern Virginia region.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in technical trade professions such as construction, carpentry, fabrication, mechanics, or general contracting would be a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams, such as basic framing blueprints.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools for fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Proficient in using a tape measure to take precise measurements (down to 1 / 16th of an inch).
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in high temperatures of 90-120 degrees.
- Comfortable working in small spaces, climbing ladders, and performing tasks at elevated heights as needed.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability for quality and accuracy in their work.
- Possess reliable vehicle to commute throughout Northern Virginia (Manassas, Chantilly, Ashburn, Herndon, Haymarket, Sterling, Stoneridge, Bull Run, and Dulles).

Terms : W-2 Contract (4-month contract, likely to extend)
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm (full-time hours)
Pay : $22 / hour paid weekly $3 / hour completion bonus
