Job Title: Technician Level 1
Location: Rice Creek, MN
Shift: 8:00 – 12:00 (Flexible schedule – 20 hours a week)
Our Fortune 50 medical device client is committed to alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life for millions of people worldwide. As a technician, you will be part of a dedicated team that designs, develops, and manufactures various components utilized in medical devices. In this role you will gain experience with advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting the manufacturing of components for medical devices such as pacemakers, neurostimulators, and deep-brain stimulators. You will be benefiting the overall organization by providing onsite preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, equipment modifications, and installation support on all equipment used to manufacture lifesaving medical devices.
- Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; adjusts, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Must-Have: Minimum Requirements
- Completion of GED or further education
- Ability to work with little direction at times and attention to detail
- A desire to learn, and the ability to be coached
- Experince working hands-on in a mechanical, or electrical environment. This can range from doing the electrical work in your home to working on your personal vehicle. We want someone hands-on, and adaptable.
Nice to Have
- Completed or in final semester of Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline
- Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting electronic circuits.
- Experience using Microsoft Office products.
- Experience (limited) using machining equipment.
- Solid technical ability, equipment setup, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience following and developing procedures for preventative maintenance.
- Good organizational and verbal communication skills
- People skills to understand cultural differences, adapt quickly, and collaborate effectively.
