Title: Test Engineer
Location: Denver Tech Center (onsite 4 days)
Pay: $50-60/hr
Duration: 6 month contract
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineer to conduct functional testing of network elements, including but not limited to 5G Radio Units, Decentralized Units, Centralized Units, Cell Site Routers, and User Equipment. The role involves utilizing traffic generators such as Keysight and Spirent, as well as tools like Wireshark and other node-specific utilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing functional requirements for each product/node/software release with key company stakeholders, including product owners and operational points of contact.
- Collaborating with vendors to consolidate and document all functional test cases.
- Developing and executing test cases in accordance with finalized Test Object Lists (TOLs), including pre-requisites, execution steps, and expected behaviors.
- Overseeing testing efforts, tracking defects within the product defect ticketing system, and ensuring timely resolution of identified issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in test engineering or a similar role.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with the following (which may be concurrent):
- Testing 4G/5G network solutions.
- SDN, NFV, Cloud, and VNF MANO concepts.
- 4G RAN or 5G O-RAN, including 5G ORAN stack split functions (7-2x, RU, DU, CUCP, CUUP).
- Working with Keysight, Spirent, Wireshark, and other network testing tools.
- Developing and executing HLDs and test plans.
- Virtualized network environments, orchestration, and automation in cloud-based architectures (public/private).
- Understanding of 3GPP RAN, Kubernetes, AWS, and ORAN.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Networks & Telecommunications, Information Systems, or a related field.
This role is ideal for candidates with a strong technical background in wireless networks and a keen eye for ensuring software quality in a fast-paced telecom environment.
