Qualifications:
- M.S. Degree in Special Education or related field
- Holds NYSED teacher certification as per program requirement in Early Childhood(Birth-2), Childhood(1-6) or Adolescents(7-12)
- Holds Supervision Building Level (SBL) NYS Certification
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Knowledgeable of the New York State Learning Standards and responsible for ensuring the program’s curriculum is developed and aligned to such standards. Have knowledge of various methods of teaching, instruction and intervention including Applied Behavior Analysis and Positive Behavior Intervention Supports. Monitors implementation of the curriculum and oversees curriculum training and curriculum adaptations. Coordinates the day-today operation of the curriculum under the supervision of the Assistant Director. Provides in-class curriculum and instruction training.
