Transportation/Bus Aide
6:30-7:30am and 2:30-3:30pm (approx. 2 hours/day)
Non-contracted
Objective: Assists in providing safe transportation for students
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Documentation of a clear criminal record.
Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
Self-directed and able to learn required skills for the position.
Valid Ohio Department of Education Permit appropriate for the assignment.
Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with loading and unloading of students.
Securing wheelchair.
Assist with safety equipment.
Ensures that students are comfortable and safely secured.
Offers help when students ask or their behavior suggests they need assistance.
Monitors student behavior. Enforces safety regulations. Maintains high standards and upholds the student conduct code.
Strives to develop rapport and serve as a positive role model for others.
