Responsibilities
- Deliver art lesson plans, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their participation and engagement in classroom activities.
- Adapt instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special education requirements.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and administration regarding student progress and any issues that arise during class.
- Supervise students during breaks and transitions between classes to ensure safety and order.
Qualifications
- A background in art, particularly in the area of middle school/junior high school is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting or through tutoring is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and needs of students.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students and staff.
