What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paratransit Van Driver position at Broome County Transit?
Van Operator
As Van Operator, you will be driving a 16-passenger van picking up and delivering passengers at scheduled pick up times. You will have to safely transport passengers in various weather conditions and sometimes heavy traffic.
- P/T positions are Monday-Friday, typically
3 to 4 days per week
- Must have the ability and patience to effectively communicate and interact with all people, especially senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
- CDL C license preferred, but BC Transit will train the right person for the job.
- Paid comprehensive training, with great wages.
- Starting pay is $17.99/hour
- Mandatory NYSDMV 19A physical

- Mandatory pre-employment drug test
