MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeking a social studies teacher to provide instruction and support to students enrolled in the BT BOCES Virtual Learning Academy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, facilitate, and implement, a variety of Social Studies Classes
- Knowledge of best practices in online instruction, student engagement strategies, and differentiation in a virtual setting
- Structure the student environment to provide a supportive virtual educational setting that maximizes student potential

- On-going collaboration with the Student Success Team, and other teachers working with the students
- Deliver primary instruction in middle school and high school Social Studies that align with NYS Learning Standards
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- NYS Certification as a 7-12 Social Studies Teacher
- Strong collaboration skills
- A commitment to meeting the needs of every student
- A strong belief that all students can succeed
- Strong use of instructional technology to meet student needs
- Experience in virtual teaching preferred
