DEMOLATION & EXCAVATION ESTIMATOR

Estimator For Demolition & Excavation Company In Chicago

• Understand Scope of Work
• Develop and review detailed quantity take-offs
• Calculate labor, material costs, and time requirements
• Cost control management, materials sourcing plus costs, maintaining budgets
• Assemble bids and draft proposals
• Monitor email for updated project drawings and addenda
• Prepare and submit estimates and change orders in a detailed and timely manner
• Communicate with team and client for duration of project
• Timely follow-up on bid proposals and client queries
• Travel required to meetings and job sites
• Monitor various online bidding sites including govt. agencies for potential projects
• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in the demolition & excavation field.
  
  

Other Tasks As Required:

• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent time-management skills
• Strong ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, site photos, and other documents to prepare time, material, equipment, labor, and disposal cost estimates to be able to deliver high-quality and well thought out proposals on time.
• Strong customer relations skills
• Proficient in Construction/Earthwork software necessary, Planswift
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Gmail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
