About Where We Work
Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA. Additionally, our outside sales teams work remotely within their territories, staying geographically close to the accounts they support to ensure they are always “at your side” for our customers.

The Senior Director, Product Management & Marketing owns overall product management and marketing strategy development and execution for Brother Mobile Solutions (BMS), a division of Brother International Corporation.
This role leads the product management team, which is responsible for:
- Leading the product lifecycle from idea generation and requirements definition to product and solutions launch and go-to-market execution
- Applying broad knowledge of company's product and solutions capabilities as well as competitive environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product opportunities
- Overseeing the analysis and evaluation of key market statistics and customer requirements to define product strategies and identify product opportunities to expand market share
- In-depth market analysis, business case development for optimization of existing products and solutions alternatives and/or to create the next generation of new products
This role collaborates with the leadership, sales, engineering, operations, BIL (headquarter) product planning, legal, CXC and finance teams.
- Lead the product management team to create/maintain the following business-critical product management processes for all BMS product lines
- Ensure effective product management, including but not limited to the following aspects: product roadmap / vision (extending out at least 5 years), product messaging, unique value proposition, pricing, end of life announcements, ROI/TCO tools, product web presence, promotions, competitive analysis, warranty offerings, service offerings & presentations
- Oversee conceptual studies and market research, design concepts for new product ideas (hardware, software, supplies, service), and review business case justifications to drive the projects with BMS Engineering and BIL product planning/engineering teams
- Proactively canvass internal and external organizations and resources for product and solutions suggestions and ideas
- Own and manage the product management team’s KPI development, measurement, tracking and reporting out
- As the leader of the BMS marketing group, the individual leads the development and execution of all activities relating to the company’s marketing strategy, including but not limited to: marketing budget, branding, advertising, web marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, campaign management, social media, search engine optimization, channel marketing, managing partner programs, public relations, new product launches and event management
- Guide the team members, contractors and channel partners in the development, creation, proofing, launch and execution of a wide range of high-impact marketing campaigns, digital marketing campaigns, projects, programs or initiatives
- Ensure that marketing projects target end-users or channel partners in BMS’ focus vertical markets and will be developed for the specific purpose of creating demand for BMS solution and product offerings
- Ensure that integrated campaigns, projects, and initiatives will cover the full range of product, vertical, alliance, application / solution and channel marketing, optimizing the most impactful and cost-effective mix of marketing channels
- Own and manage the entire lead generation, delegation tracking, and follow-up process, working towards an ultimate goal of implementing a fully closed-loop cycle from lead inception to revenue recognition
- Own and manage marketing teams KPI development, measurement, tracking and reporting out
- Lead, develop, and manage a growing team of performance marketers and product management professionals to effectively and efficiently deliver results based on clear goals
- Assist with driving group strategy, culture drivers, communication, and progress
- Actively participate as a key member of the BMS Leadership Team, providing valuable insights and experiences relevant to long and short-term company success
- Create and nurture a culture aligned with Brother’s culture drivers and leadership direction
- Motivate, inspire, train, and lead a diverse team in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Create annual marketing plans with consistent optimizations designed to meet company goals, incorporating plans to measure the effect (ROI) of our efforts
- As a key leader of the BMS organization, this role promotes collaboration across cross-functional teams and drive various functional initiatives to help achieve BMS’ vision and goals
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or similar field – Required
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent experience) MBA, Marketing, Engineering, or similar field – Required
- Minimum 15 years A combination of experience spanning the following areas:
- Extensive, broad-based experience in marketing, product management, and solutions/vertical marketing
- Experience marketing technology products into commercial/industrial -
- Significant executive leadership experience, overseeing multiple complex teams
- Experience in business planning and analysis in support of new product introduction
- Experience interfacing with customers, partners, sales teams, vendors, and other external stakeholders for the product business
- Experience with technology channels of distribution (distributors, solutions VARs, ISV’s, etc.), their associated business models, and go-to-market strategies
- Ability to understand Brother’s target markets and translate market/customer requirements into products, derivatives and features
- Strong knowledge and expertise in marketing, product management, solutions/vertical marketing for technology products into commercial/industrial verticals
- Ability to set a strategy and develop/execute on integrated marketing campaigns to build awareness, educate end-users and partners, and generate sales leads
- Knowledge of branding, advertising, web marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, campaign management, social media, search engine optimization, channel marketing, lead generation, managing partner programs, public relations, new product launches and event management
- Ability to think creatively, aggressively, analytically, and strategically
- Understanding of financial concepts including P&L, TCO and ROI models
- Ability to act as a self-starter and be adaptable, persuasive, tenacious and perceptive in order to execute a well-developed plan
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively negotiating and building partnerships with key stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to lead, coach and develop a strong functional team
- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $200,000 - $230,000 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
