The Senior Manager, Platform Release Management, oversees the release management process and implements continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products. The role coordinates cross-functional efforts to ensure successful releases, while collaborating with various teams, including development, testing, and operations, to identify and resolve release issues. About Where We Work
Brother’s corporate headquarters for the Americas is in Bridgewater, NJ, across from the Bridgewater Commons Mall. This location houses key corporate functions, including HR, legal, finance, IT, and supply chain, and a significant presence of our business unit leadership and marketing teams. Our manufacturing and distribution facility in Bartlett, TN spans an impressive 1.5 million square feet - equivalent to 26 football fields - and is located on Brother Boulevard. In addition to the distribution center operations team, this facility hosts several other departments, including our customer service group. Brother also has employees based in other locations, such as Westminster, CO, where many of our marketing and product engineering team members from the mobile solutions division operate, as well as our distribution centers in Richmond, VA and Perris, CA. Additionally, our outside sales teams work remotely within their territories, staying geographically close to the accounts they support to ensure they are always “at your side” for our customers.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Release Management:
- Develop and implement release management strategies and processes to ensure timely and efficient product delivery across platforms
- Monitor and track release progress, identifying and addressing any potential roadblocks or delays
- Utilize project management methodologies to plan and execute releases within defined timelines and budgets
- Ensure all necessary documentation and approvals are in place for each release and in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in project and program discussions and assessments to guide resource availability awareness and scheduling understanding
- Continuously review and improve release management processes to increase efficiency and quality
- Oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to optimize release processes and increase productivity
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement tools to streamline release processes
- Governs cross functional team members to ensure seamless delivery of planned releases
- Define, analyze, and report on metrics that inform the success and quality of platform engineering releases
- Communicate with senior management on release status, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Develop and maintain release schedules, communicating updates and changes to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with cross functional teams to ensure successful release management
- Stay current with industry best practices and technologies related to release management and continuous improvement
- Remain up to date on platform patching and SaaS releases to proactively identify any release scheduling needs
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team and other stakeholders
- Conduct research and evaluations of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance the release management process
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- Master's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field- Preferred
- Minimum 8 year’s experience leading cross functional releases across product teams and driving the highest level of quality into production.
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with project and testing management
- Experience with compliance, application security, and data privacy
- Knowledge of .NET, SAP, Salesforce, eCommerce, and B@B web platforms and IPaSS platforms
- Experience with DevOps methods and technologies
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams leveraging project and release management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders within the IT organization
- Results-oriented mindset and with a focus on driving continuous improvement and innovation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable process solutions

- The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $ 160,000.00 - $ 185,000.00 per year
- Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
- This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
