The Senior Manager, Solution Architect, Data & Integration plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and leading the implementation of robust data architecture, data integration solutions, and governance frameworks. This role focuses on building and enhancing robust, scalable data warehouse and data lake environments, streamlining data integration processes, and ensuring data is efficiently stored, accessible, and secure. The Senior Manager has a strong experience in data modeling, data warehousing, data integration tools and technologies, along with a deep understanding of business requirements to drive data strategies that align with organizational goals.

The Solutions Architect also leverages their expertise in cloud-native data integration services to design and maintain data structures that facilitate efficient analytics, business intelligence, and reporting capabilities across the organization. This role requires strong strategic planning skills, a collaborative approach to gathering and translating complex business requirements, and proficiency in selecting and implementing optimal data tools and frameworks to meet both current and future organizational needs. Finally, the Solution Architect partners with IT peers globally to design reusable solutions with consistent integration to Brother Japan.

*** WHAT YOU’LL DO ***

Solution Design and Planning:

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures, including data warehouses, reporting frameworks, and data lakes to support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Develop integration strategies that ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security across multiple systems and platforms
  • Implement middleware and integration tools to facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability between CXC/ERP and external systems
  • Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency across on-premises and cloud environments
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technical leads and data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts in data integration processes, optimizing performance, scalability, and data quality


Data Integration and Governance:

  • Define and develop efficient data integration and ETL processes, leveraging cloud-native tools and services to manage data pipelines and workflows
  • Utilize Azure data integration services and tools to optimize data flow, ensuring seamless data movement, transformation, and storage
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security throughout its lifecycle
  • Implement data quality frameworks to continuously monitor and improve data quality and reliability
  • Collaborate to assist in managing metadata, data lineage, and cataloging processes, driving enhanced data transparency and traceability


Partnership and Collaboration:

  • Perform Fit/Gap analysis required for solution design and planning.
  • Act as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, including business partners, product owners, and data analysts, to ensure alignment and integration of data solutions with business objectives.
  • Advocate for the design and implementation of reusable data integration solutions, ensuring consistent and efficient integration practices across the organization.
  • Partner with IT peers globally designing reusable solutions with consistent integration to Brother Japan
  • Participate in IT related initiatives and meetings

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) Engineering, or related field Required


Experience

Minimum 8 years Required

  • Experience in data architecture, data integration, or solution architecture, with a focus on cloud-based environments.
  • Proven experience with data governance, data warehousing, BI reports and ETL processes.
  • Expertise in data modeling, Business intelligent tools, iPaaS/Azure integration services (API Management, Data Lake, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Service Bus and Event Grid) and data storage solutions.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality standards, and data security practices.
  • Strong SQL and database management skills, with a focus on optimization and performance tuning.


Licenses and Certifications

  • Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer Preferred
  • The Open Group Certified - TOGAF Certified Preferred


Software/Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Applications Intermediate Required
  • Enterprise Architecture Design tools Intermediate Required
  • Azure iPaaS, Data warehouse, Business Intelligence Azure Data Lake, Data modeling tools Intermediate Required
  • Jira Issue & Project Tracking Software Intermediate Preferred

  • This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

    • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $175,000 - $195,000 per year
    • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
    • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
