JOB SUMMARY
Assist in the performance of independent and objective assurance and consulting activities for the
company. Interpret the results of test work and identify and make recommendations for improvement in
operations. Promote effective controls throughout the organization, focusing primarily on ensuring
compliance with the Model Audit Rule (MAR).

- Execute the approved annual audit plan in accordance with departmental and professional
standards. - Provide reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are
functioning as intended and will enable the organization’s objectives and goals to be met. - Monitor the status of outstanding internal audit issues and perform follow-up procedures.
- Pursue professional development opportunities, including training and professional association
memberships. - Complete other projects as assigned.

staff members.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Education and/or Experience
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information systems, or a related
field of study. - Experience with and knowledge of Committee of Sponsoring Organizations and National Institute
of Standards and Technology control frameworks is desired. - Progression toward a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, Certified Internal Auditor
(CIA) certification, Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and/or
Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designation is desired.
