JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing specialized assistance and support within the department. Responsible for completing projects of a more advanced and technical nature within a department.
The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and help implement new and existing cyber security tools and processes, engage with IT and Business employees on cyber security projects and incidents, and produce documentation pertinent to those activities. Must be detail oriented, analytical, and able to engage with technical and non-technical employees on cyber security topics. Cyber security is a team sport at Brotherhood Mutual. A passion for learning and self-improvement, a commitment to finding answers, and a humble attitude is what we are looking for most in a candidate.

• Perform requested research and analysis for special projects.
• Assist with planning and execution of special projects.
• Deliver high-quality, timely work for all projects.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure projects align with the company’s strategic business goals.
• Work with advanced systems and software as needed to complete assigned projects.
• Participate on cross company teams as requested by the manager or VP of the department.
• Complete other projects as assigned.

• Advanced knowledge and experience working with the computer and various software systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

• Must be able to multi-task, be accurate with details and maintain confidentiality.
• Effectively interface with external contacts, Brotherhood employees, managers, and department staff members.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Must hold high school diploma and actively working toward a Bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced education in related field is desired.
• One year of general work experience is desired.
PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:
• Investigating cyber security alerts
• Testing cloud based SIEM tools
• Deploying security agents to end points
• Analyzing security intelligence feeds and providing recommended actions
• Using regular expressions to parse security logs and develop alerts
• Learning about SAML authentication
• Learning about Multi-factor authentication
• Deploying a VPN replacement solution
• Writing up run book procedures for common incident response scenarios
• Testing new security controls that are in pilot phase
• Configuring log forwarding for cloud security controls
• Researching and presenting security best practices for cloud infrastructure
