Hostess/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include managing guest seating, processing transactions, and maintaining a positive dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process efficiently.
• Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries.
• Process customer orders accurately using the POS system, including Aloha POS if applicable.
• Handle cash and credit transactions while ensuring accuracy in all financial dealings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, enhancing overall guest relations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication regarding guest needs.
• Assist in training new staff members on customer service standards and operational procedures.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including guest services and guest relations principles.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus; knowledge of Aloha POS is highly regarded.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
