Grounds Maintenance Foreman

Purpose of Job: maintain clients' lawns by mowing, line trimming and blowing off of paved surfaces during the growing season; operate snow plow and/or salt spreader during the winter season

Major Responsibilities:

· Lead by example in punctuality, attitude, work ethics and appearance

· Communicate with your crew and customers effectively

· Efficiently manage your time

· Have fundamental knowledge of the ability to operate all equipment used by the maintenance division of Brothers Grimm Landscape & Design Co. and to perform various tasks involved in using that particular equipment.

· Train other crew members in the use of the equipment

· Knowledge of all areas of the particular accounts he/she is assigned to

· Communicate with the customer in a professional and knowledgeable manner regarding questions and concerns related to their specific account.

· Lead your crew efficiently through planning and organization

· Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in the field

· Have a thorough knowledge of the basic regional plant material that is relevant to Brothers Grimm accounts

· Hand prune and shear shrubs and trees to professional horticultural standards

· Track jobs and fill out work logs daily

· Enforce policies and procedures in the Brothers Grimm Employee Manual

Job Requirements:

· Minimum of 2 years experience in the green industry or one year continuous employment with Brothers Grimm

· Must have a clean and valid Ohio driver’s license and be able to be added to the company's insurance policy.

· Constant improvement through education and learning

· We recommend obtaining your OCNT or CLT within 2 years of employment

Job Grade & Scale:

· Hourly rate: negotiable depending upon experience and education

We are a drug free workplace and conduct pre-employment testing as well as monthly random, post accident and reasonable suspicion testing. The use of marijuana is not permitted while employed at Brothers Grimm Landscape & Design.

Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday, begin at 7am. Some Saturdays will be required. Some Saturdays will be optional. Weather dependent. Off on Sundays.

This job will begin around March 1, 2025 (weather depending), and be full time year round.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
