$30.00- $35.00/hr

The Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing occupational therapy interventions to patients/clients in a Skilled Nursing setting as ordered by the referring physician under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST ASSISTANTS/ COTAS DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Work closely with the supervising occupational therapist by communicating progress or lack thereof in order to assist the physical therapist in updating/downgrading goals and changing plan of care as needed

The COTA & OT shall provide sessions consistent with identified goals with focus on, but not limited to, the following areas:
- ROM/joint mobility
- Pain
- Muscle Strength
- Posture/Balance
- Body Mechanics
- Activities of Daily Living
- Coordination
- Fine motor tasks
- Implementation of a home exercise program
- Documentation will be completed accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with state laws.
- Obtain necessary certification for implementation of vital stimulation to patients that would benefit from services
- Responsible for the completion of all necessary documentation which includes but is not limited to the following items: ( All documentation will be co-signed by the OTR)
