PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT-
Full Time
$24.00-$28.00 based on experience

The licensed physical therapy assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy interventions to patients/clients in an skilled nursing rehabilitation facility setting as ordered by the referring physician under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. We are always looking for positive, dependable, caring individuals to join our Nursing team to meet the growing demand in our community for quality care.
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Work closely with the supervising physical therapist by communicating progress or lack thereof in order to assist the physical therapist in updating/downgrading goals and changing plan of care as needed.
- Completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with state laws; all documentation must be co-signed by a supervising physical therapist.
- Provide sessions consistent with identified goals with focus on, but not limited to, the following areas:
- ROM/joint mobility
- Pain
- Muscle Strength
- Posture/Balance
- Body Mechanics
- Gait/Ambulation Activities
- Cardiovascular Endurance
- Patient/Family Education Needs
- Implementation of a home exercise program

Qualifications
- Must be currently registered/ licensed in New York State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
- Must have an Associates Degree in Applied Science, Physical Therapy Assistant
