Essential Duties
- Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure customers are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
- Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods.
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.
- Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.
- Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
- Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required.
- Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens.

- Have a full understanding of available products in order to maximize revenues.
- Ensures the quality of the food and overall guest experience is excellent.
- Accurately manage sales transactions in order to ensure accuracy in inventory and cash register.

- Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, in English.
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
- Have excellent hospitality, relational, and etiquette skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work with little or no supervision to effectively serve customers.
- Able to lift and carry heavy food trays and other restaurant equipment weighing at least ten pounds and work standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting for several hours.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Be comfortable with a high volume of customer contact.
- Able to demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and ethical behavior in all daily activities.
- Able to handle monetary transactions efficiently when working a cash bar.
- Able to maintain a positive attitude and an even disposition in customer service situations.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work effectively and positively with others.
Required Education and Experience
- High School or High School Equivalent: General or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Experience in a restaurant, or full-service dining facility.
- Certification in an Alcohol Awareness Program.
