POSITION SUMMARY
The Parker Janitorial Supervisor is responsible, with the guidance of The Parker Theater Manager, for maintaining a clean facility, and managing a staff completing a variety of cleaning tasks. The Parker Janitorial Supervisor will provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers to ensure The Parker environment and physical appearance supports The Parker image as a premiere performing arts center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Understand and Prioritize janitorial requirements with Parker Theater Manager
- Maintain a physical presence at designated work locations, maintaining regular attendance, punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and events required.
- Oversee and participate with staff in the mopping, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces, trash removal and recycling was needed
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers in janitorial services
- Assign janitorial work to employees, following material and work requirements
- Inspect work performed to ensure conformance to standards
- Train workers in janitorial methods and proper cleaning procedures
- Issue janitorial supplies and equipment to workers in order to perform tasks
- Schedule staff to coincide with Parker performance requirements
- Maintain cleaning inventory of products and order as needed through centralized PACA supply system
- Communicate to Parker maintenance when work is required, i.e., Light bulb changes
- Ensure the deep cleaning and disinfecting of spaces as required,
- Ensure cleaning of windows, floors carpets rugs and wall and cleaning of commonly used items such as, door handles, phones and desks
- Ensure strict cleaning of all areas where food is consumed, refrigerators and coffee makers are present
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Provide assistance at other PACA managed venues when required.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

- Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of various cleaning materials and their application
- Knowledge of building safety and warning systems
- Knowledge of commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School or High School Equivalent
