The Pediatric Nursing Home Administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the pediatric long-term care facility, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality care for medically fragile children and young residents. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on pediatric care. The Administrator will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and lead a team that provides compassionate and effective care 24/7. Regular supervision of night shifts and collaboration with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other department heads are essential responsibilities. The Administrator also serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer.
- Pediatric Care Leadership: Develop, maintain, and implement policies and procedures focused on pediatric long-term care to ensure compliance with current standards and regulations.
- Staff Management: Supervise and support nursing, respiratory, and other staff, ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered to pediatric residents.
- Night Shift Supervision: Regularly visit the facility during night shifts to ensure proper care protocols are followed, and provide oversight to the night shift staff.
- Compliance and Survey Coordination: Coordinate facility surveys and inspections by regulatory bodies such as AHCA and CARF. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Public Relations and Community Engagement: Maintain positive relations with the community and represent the facility at external meetings as requested by the CEO.
- Budget Management: Participate in the development of departmental operating budgets and oversee budget approval processes in collaboration with the CEO.
- Corporate Compliance: Serve as the facility’s Corporate Compliance Officer, ensuring adherence to all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Disaster and Safety Planning: Develop and maintain a disaster plan tailored to the unique needs of the pediatric residents, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Oversee the evaluation and improvement of staff performance through regular reviews and participation in quality assurance committees. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience in pediatric care or long-term care settings.
- Florida Nursing Home Administrator License required.

The work environment is representative of a pediatric long-term care facility. The Administrator must be able to supervise staff on various shifts, including nights. The noise level is moderate, and exposure to airborne particles or other healthcare-related environmental factors is possible.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
