Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant will assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. They will implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists, and monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.
- Education: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with completion of 24 semester hours as specified by the Board is necessary.
- Certifications: Current Florida Speech Language Pathology License, HIV AID/HIPAA Certification, and CPR/First Aid Certification are required.
This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
