SUMMARY
The Registered Occupational Therapist will provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned residents, students, and help residents and students reach maximum performance level and to use skills learned to the fullest to function in the community within the limits of their capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assess and treat client's needs for occupational therapy and functional level within different environments.
- Design programming for activities for daily living such as eating, grooming, dressing, bathing, and functional mobility.
- Create programming to address fine motor functioning.
- Recommend habilitation plans for clients, in collaboration with other disciplines, to be carried out by rehab aides.
- Order appropriate materials and equipment.
- Recommends and monitors use of adaptive equipment for clients as needed.
- Recommends and monitors use and fit of upper extremity orthotics.
- Participate in meetings, committees and in services as necessary.
- Provide input to the interdisciplinary team for development of care plan for each client.
- Modify and/or make minor repairs to clients' wheelchairs when needed.
- Assist and participate in wheelchair clinics when needed.
- Prepare necessary paperwork for various programs, insurances, and agencies.

Valid Florida Driver's License
HIV AIDS Certification
CPR AED Certification
Valid Florida State License for Occupational Therapy
Current National Occupational Therapy Certification/Registration
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the supervision of certified occupational therapy assistant, occupational therapy aide, and students in patient treatment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
