Minimum Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business related field required. Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance concentration preferred.
- Four or more years progressively responsible and knowledgeable experience preferably in higher education or a governmental organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Daily - 15%: Maintains a master list of all college-wide positions. Tracks position changes to maintain accurate and current listings, ensures position budget and finance budget remains balanced.
- Weekly - 10%: Collaborates with Human Resources and Payroll departments to ensure accuracy of posted records, general ledger coding, job classes/pay grade, job title and salary and benefit updates.
- Monthly - 5%: Identifies and calculates position vacancy and lapsed salary reporting.
- Annually - 5%: Creates new position budget file annually (budget preparation).
- Daily - 15%: Extracts audits and analyzes data to generate various reports as requested by college and campus administrators. Reporting information utilized from CID, SAS BI, and Workday.
- Daily - 10%: Researches, analyzes, reconciles and assists in the resolution of budget and accounting variances and position problems.
- Monthly - 5%: Consults/responds to Vice Presidents, Deans, Managers as well as external parties such as auditors and Department of Education personnel on inquiries and information reporting needs.
- Daily - 15%: Performs accounting and budget functions to include budget amendment and journal entry posting, verification, reconciliation, analysis and reporting in such areas as accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll operations and assists in the maintenance of the Chart of Accounts.
- Annually - 5%: Tests and reviews I.T. program developments to achieve desired report results and system enhancements for both the college mainframe (CID) the HET Group, Workday.
- Quarterly - 5%: Communicates with campus administrators to ensure their campus position reporting needs are being identified and met.
- Annually - 5%: Drafts and recommends enhancements to department procedures and forms. Performs general office duties including filing, supply ordering and receiving and record keeping functions
- Other -5 %: Performs related duties as assigned.
