Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Director, Procurement to oversee our procurement department's strategic sourcing initiatives and ensure compliance with public purchasing laws.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise between the Procurement department and other departments to manage commodity groups for acquisition of goods and services.
- Develop contracts for assigned commodities, including negotiation of terms conditions and pricing for complex agreements.
- Assess vendor performance and contract implementation.
- Manage people in the area, including recommendation of staffing, hiring, termination and discipline.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration.
- Minimum eight years related business experience, including three years in management.
- Strong knowledge of public procurement laws, state statutes, and corresponding ability to perform advanced procurement tasks.
