Job Profile Summary
Under general supervision, the purpose of the job is to perform advanced skilled journey level work combining activities in various mechanical and building trade areas : installation, operation, maintenance, equipment and fixtures, service and repair of electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning, heating ventilating, and plumbing systems. Employees in this classification apply considerable skills to perform trade tasks in a minimum of two (2) of the standard trade disciplines, e.g., HVAC, electrical, pump-mechanical, plumbing. Performs related work as directed.
This position allows eligible veterans and their spouses to claim Veterans' Preference pursuant
to Florida Statute 295. Certain servicemembers may be eligible to receive waivers for
postsecondary educational requirements, in the employment by the state and its political
subdivisions and are encouraged to apply for the positions being filled.
