SUMMARY : The Psychiatric NP / PA works as part of the clinical team conducting psychiatric evaluations and treatment for substance abuse including MOUD / MAT, ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders and medication management. Practitioner must be patient, focused, and caring to succeed in addressing the needs of the patient.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, a Nurse Practitioner program recognized by the Board of Nursing or from a program otherwise designated for Family Nurse Practitioners which has been approved by the State Board of Nursing.
- Must hold a current Florida APRN license.
- Must hold current National Certification.
- The ability to relate with warmth and effectiveness to the patients and other health care providers of Broward Community & Family.
- Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a health care organization as a behavioral health provider, preferred.
- Bi-lingual Spanish or Haitian-Creole, preferred.
