The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Accounts Payable Supervisor.

General Description
Performs administrative work assisting in the coordination and administration of business operations and functions.
Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires four (4) years in staff administration, management, and organization, or closely related experience specific to accounts payable including six (6) months lead work/supervisory experience depending on area of assignment.
Special Certifications and Licenses
Ability to secure and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification card (TWIC) within 60 days of employment and for the duration of employment (If required).
Ability to secure and maintain a valid Seaport Business Purpose Credential for the duration of employment.
Preferences
Masters Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration or closely related field.
2 Years of experience in Accounts Payable procedures with at least 1 year in a supervisory level or Team Lead Role.
1 years experience using PeopleSoft financial software
1 years experience in governmental accounting and payment processes
Institute of Finance & Management (IOFM) Certification
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and payments to ensure department's deliverables are met.
Prepare, analyze, and monitor accounts payable reports.
Develop, implements and maintain Accounts Payable procedures and policies to ensure integrity of related processes is sustained.
Ensure compliance with County policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
Perform statistical analysis to identify trends in payment cycles and optimize cash flow management.
Maintain quality controls to ensure that accounting transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
Prepare and review Accounts Payable reports and maintain files.
Assist with Accounts Payable reconciliations and manages accounting and financial records.
Participate in special projects and initiatives, and support other finance accounting functions.
Performs related work as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
