• Performs heavy duty cleaning tasks on areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, sidewalks, windows, and building walls.
• Performs a variety of light maintenance activities and custodial project work, such as pressure cleaning, replacing dispensers, changing light bulbs, and performing floor treatment.
• Cleans, organizes, and maintain custodial storage areas.
• Inspects areas for cleanliness and supplies. Replenishes supplies, as needed.
• Maintains inventory of a variety of cleaning products, supplies, and equipment.
• Cuts grass on adjoining lawns; collects litter and sweeps walkways around buildings.
• Moves and sets up furniture; prepares rooms for scheduled programs and activities.
• Utilizes a variety of janitorial tools and equipment, and specialty cleaning equipment, such as pressure cleaners, floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, and extension poles.
• Performs a variety of security related duties in accordance with established security procedures, as needed.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• The position requires the use of cell phone, tablet, and work order tracking software. Candidate must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and perform cleaning from an aerial lift.
Performs a variety of custodial and related maintenance duties in an assigned area or building.
Works under close to general supervision according to set procedures, but determines how or when to complete tasks.

Special Certifications and Licenses
- Vocational Degree in closely related field.
- Associate’s degree or higher in closely related field.
- License or Certification in Plumbing or Carpentry
- Cleaning Management Institute (CMI) Certification or equivalent
- Possess one of the following Certifications: OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Certification (BPC); IJCSA Chemical Hazards Certification (CHC); IJCSA Carpet Cleaning Certification; IJCSA Customer Service Certification (CSC); IJCSA Biohazard Cleaning Certification (BCC); or IJCSA Mold Inspection & Remediation Services Certification (MIRS)
- CMI ISSA Advanced Custodial Technician Certification or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of documented custodial work experience in an industrial/commercial/plant setting.
- At least one (1) year of documented knowledge and work experience using janitorial services software CompuClean or similar software.
- At least one (1) year experience using Maximo, DataSplice, or a similar maintenance management software.
- At least one (1) year of documented knowledge and work experience in one or more of the following areas: occupational exposure, chemical disinfection, biohazard precautions, and Personal Protective Equipment (purposes and types).

Maintains inventory of a variety of cleaning products and supplies.
May perform a variety of security related duties in accordance with established security procedures.
Performs related work as assigned.
