Summary:

Provides clinical leadership and administrative direction for the goal development, process implementation, evaluation and operational management of the Medical- Surgical/Telemetry/ICU Units. This individual also provides oversight for, coordinates the activities and evaluates the performance of the Nursing and Staffing offices and Nursing Float Pool. Goal development and implementation must be consistent with the District's mission, organization's strategic plan and resources. The incumbent is accountable and responsible for professional practice, clinical outcomes, human resources management, financial performance, patient experience, marketing and program refinement in response to needs and trends.

Education:
* Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree strongly preferred.
* Graduate of an accredited nursing school (AD in Nursing, RN Diploma, BSN or MSN).

Experience:
Essential:
* Seven years of related acute hospital nursing experience including leadership. Experience over multiple units strongly preferred.

Credentials:
* Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or holds a Florida multi-state nursing license; or able to obtain license prior to start is required.
* Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support.
